Holiday Interlude
We have been away for almost six weeks. It was absolutely lovely to see family and friends. And we take lots of pleasure in exploring different communities that we travel through each summer. But really, it is loveliest to be home again.
Travel makes me appreciate the comfort of my own bed, the freedom of cooking in my own kitchen (or, in my case, my husband cooking in our kitchen), and the quiet of living way out in the bush with few neighbours.
I intended to keep the blog updated with anecdotes while we travelled, but I didn't. I needed to just be in the moment and leave it at that. I am refreshed and looking forward to another year of adventures.
