We spent a good portion of this winter and early spring with big plans to be moving this summer. We got far enough in those plans to make an offer on a house. Said house was purchased by another lucky soul (much to our chagrin). After two other house tours and daily online searches we are no further ahead in the hunt for a home of our own.
Being the teacher with an OTC and a whack of experience, I was elected to look for work close to where the Sprouts were to be in school. We got far enough in those plans to submit multiple resumes for job positions. Said positions were filled by other lucky souls (to my dropping confidence). After daily online searching and conferring with every soul who I know locally that hunt is also no further ahead.
We are wondering what is wrong with us... or if God isn't finished with us here yet.
We now have a summer with no plans (as the moving seems to be off the table in God's plan). And we have contracts here waiting to be signed for next year as well as people here encouraging us rather strongly to stay. We are not sure what to do.
Perhaps we should just plant sunflowers, go fishing, and teach the Sprouts to paddle canoes. And there is a poison ivy patch that needs eradicating...
More prayer required for clarity of direction and peace with God's purpose.
